Outside area
We have Parking on site for one car but there is plenty of roadside parking on the other side of the hedge.
Enclosed garden for your dogs to stretch their legs safely while you relax with a brew on the patio. We get lots of Butterflys and there are so many wild birds, the bird song is beautiful.

Kitchen and Bathroom
We have a fully equipped kitchen with the following.
- Cooker with ceramic hob and Grill
- Microwave / Kettle / Toaster and Cafetière.
- Crockery and Cutlery for 6 guests
- Small under counter fridge freezer in kitchen and a new Large freestanding fridge freezer in the dining room.
- New washing machine installed Jan 2026.
- Boiler for the central heating system is located in the kitchen.
The Bathroom is a nice light space with privacy glass and roller blind. Please note it is located downstairs next to the Kitchen.
We have an Electric shower over the Bath which is great for a hot power shower, hand basin and toilet.
Complimentary Hand wash / Washing up liquid / Kitchen roll and a couple of Toilet rolls on arrival.
Cleaning products are provided as well as having access to a hoove
The Living room and dining room.
The living room has a lovely homey cottage feel, featuring original sandstone floors and spiral staircase leading upstairs .
We have a lovely comfy sofa and smart TV so you can relax in front of the roaring log burner while reading or watching your Netflix.
There is a selection of books, boardgames and Wifi throughout the cottage.
There is a dog bed and blankets provided for your dogs to use.
The Dining room is light and airy with original beams and fireplace ( not in use).
It has a table to seat 6 as well as highchair for little ones.
There is also some extra seating and a new fridge freezer for longer stays.
We have a selection of kiddy toys and games in the cabinet for you to use during your stay.
THE BEDROOMS
The Stag Room
This is our main bedroom with a comfortable double bed and travel cot ( when requested)
A beautiful room with oak floorboards that are original to the house , they are a bit wonky with years of character!
The fireplace is also original and although no longer in use adds personality to the room.
The Bird Room
This is our second room with a nice comfy Double bed.
The wooden wall in this room again is an original feature , it gives the room a traditional cosy feel.
We provide a towel for each guest during their stay and each room has extra blankets for the beds although we have central heating throughout.
The Herdwick Room
This room has two single beds which is prefect for adults or kids to share .
They are both comfortable beds to sleep in and again it is a cosy and comfortable room to get some rest.
We have a few Herdwick and sheep themed paintings to stick with the theme!
